Is there an area to play darts??
Fresh real food from scratch
Food was excellent as was the bartender Alicia
December 26, 2019. The official opening of the St. Louis aquarium. I had 5 hours to kill before my train left the station. I got a spot at the bar. Day after Christmas and the place was Bustling. The staff shouldered it professionally. I felt obligated to write a review because the bartender, Alicia, was literally (and figuratively) incredible. A reassuring thing to watch someone smoothing over chaos and stll having time to start and finish conversations with her regulars. No exaggeration. An incredible being.
MoreSuper friendly pub that has plenty of good food and good drinks, including their own house brand Irish red ale. We loved the vibe on Blues hockey night! If we're in the area again we will visit again.
MoreWe loved it. I enjoyed all the pictures that kinda told the history of the place. The service was fast and very friendly. The food was great! The bar looked cozy but we don't drink. It's nice that the have a section separate from the bar for families and non drinkers. We will definitely eat there again next time we're in town.
MoreGreat beer selection. Very friendly staff. Good food. Best bangers and mash this side of the Atlantic - and better than most on the other side as well. Lackluster presentation.
MoreMaggie's was recommended to us for barbecue. While we didn't find a lot of barbecue options on the menu, the food and service were good with a laid back atmosphere. The pulled pork was better than most while the fries were average.
MoreBest burgers around! Very good, relaxed atmosphere. Great service. Highly recommend Maggie O'Briens.
MoreDelicious food. Worth the drive. Highly recommend. They also offer more then 25 beers on tap plus many other alcoholic beverages.
MoreGreat place for before/after games/concerts. Staff is amazing & food is great!
Very good food! Great Reuben. Atmosphere ok. Good great!
Great place and atmosphere. Very good bar service too! Perfect place to go before and after a Blues game!
MoreAuthentic Irish dishes made to order by a welcoming staff!
Maggie's was a great Irish style pub with a wide food selection and welcoming regular crowd/staff. We had a very good lunch here at an affordable price and didn't regret choosing this as our sole St Louis dining experience in the slightest.. Try the Toasted Ravioli!
MoreReal good food. Bangers and mash was very good. Don't order the chili. Tastes like it's out of a can. Get the potato soup instead. Very good. Mr. T has visited here. If it's good enough for T it's good enough for me. Not a great beer selection.
MoreMaggie O'Brien's is a friendly pub with free, off street parking. They offer a very good beer selection and a very limited wine selection. Servers and other staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. We ordered a combination appetizer and Fish and Chips for dinner. The appetizers were good but not particularly attractive or remarkable. The Fish and Chips are served with a choice of crinkle cut french fries or housemade chips. Fish is served as breaded, deep fried chunks of fairly fresh tasting fish. Again, good but not particularly attractive or remarkable. The menu overall has a variety of very Irish offerings. Would be interested to try some of the other menu offerings like Irish Stew or Shepherd's Pie.
MoreFood was just meh. Liked the sweet potato fries. The Reuben was soggy but the meat was tender. Cod sandwich so-s0
MoreThe cornbeef & cabbage meals I took home with me were incredible! I'm part Scottish, but them Irish can cook some hearty meals. Very tasty! Nice atmosphere! Friendly service?
MoreGreat Irish bar & grill. The Ruben was awesome. The ribs looked phenomenal. The servers were exceptionally nice. Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.
MoreWe have been here several times without issue, which prevents me from rating it any lower, but this weekend's experience was not very good at all. After ordering and receiving our drinks & appetizer in a decent amount of time, we then sat for about 40 minutes, without any visit, before getting our dinners. And when it did arrive, the bottom of the bun on my sandwich was completely saturated with liquid from the sandwich and very soggy. It was basically inedible so I ended up flipping the top over & having an open-faced sandwich instead. I made it work but it wasn't very pleasant. And there was never any mention of the delay of our food or anything either, so there was nothing to limit the impact of the issues. As I mentioned, we usually don't have any issues (although sometimes we are only there for drinks), and we will be back for sure, but this has soured it for a little while.
MoreThis is a good place for pub food and a few Irish dishes. The staff is top notch and I always get great service. The burgers and onion rings are amazing, and the chips are really good too.It can be a little loud but that's what I'd expect for this kind of restaurant. Go to have a good time and good meal.
MoreService was great, very friendly and available. Location was cool as well. Just don’t get the ribs. They were so tough it was closer to jerky. Just because it’s covered in BBQ doesn’t make it better.
MoreFun gathering place before Blues games. Good food and cheap beer. Shuttle to/from Blues and/or Cardinals games.
MoreGreat food, good prices. Very good selection of beer on tap. Good prices on food and drinks, and they are not stingy on serving size.
MoreBreaded Chicken wings and smoked wings are delicious, our server didnt have good listening skills and kept messing up our orders then had the nerves to get an attitude, my cousn had a steak and it looks like they just slapped a piece of cheese on it which is not good as far as presentation, The ribs were seasoned and smoked good but on the tough side, I do recommend better fries or fresh cut fries daily, instead of the crinkle cuts, which i had to get another order cause my first batch looked like they had been sitting for a while, but will return for the wings
MoreAmazing food and amazing atmosphere! Highly recommend. I ate their Corn Beef n Cabbage. Great!!
MoreGreat food and service!!! Vivian did a great job of taking care of us on our anniversary meal! In fact, everyone came up to us and congratulated us on our anniversary!!! Well done!!
MoreVery nice cozy tavern. Corned beef with cabbage and new potatoes is actually ham, but who cares! - it's delicious, served with enough juice to smoosh and soak up with the beautiful potatoes - loved it, will come again.
MoreLoved the food, and the waitress, Alicia has an amazing personality!Definitely a must-try when in St. Louis, MO
MoreFavorite place to go before Blues games. The servers are always friendly, there's cheap deals on pitchers, a shuttle (although it's close enough to walk), and free valet with validated receipt--don't forget to bring some cash for a tip if you use the valet!
MoreFor what I thought was simply a bar, their food blew me away! I had the best shepherd's pie I've ever had in my life. I am sad, but my waistline is thankful, that I live too far away to eat here every day.
MoreFood was cold.toasted ravioli was cooked to a crisp. Clam chowder was gritty. Pizza was decent.
MoreI took my family here today before our aquarium visit. Everything tasted great reasonably priced and good portions. Right around the corner from the aquarium definatly check them out.
MoreAlways great food and service, every time we go. This time was no exception. Perfect place to grab dinner and drinks before a Blues game. The trolly back and forth is awesome.
MoreMissing one of my favorite places in STL..Wish you could have stayed open for takeout or curbsude during the pandemic :( the downtown residential community hopes you open again soon :)
MoreWe were in town for a volleyball tournament. The whole team came to eat supper. We had around 30 people in our group. The service was GREAT!!! The food was prepared a lot quicker than any of figured it would be with such a large group. There was no complaints of the food. I would highly recommend Maggie O'Brien's!!!
MoreI ordered corned beef and cabbage and my guest ordered a patty melt they came out very quickly and the wait staff were attentive. However the corned beef tasted of bologna and the cabbage was very overcooked. My dining partner enjoyed their sandwich. Overall good dining experience,Not so good dining.
MoreWow!! Cool place..fun atmosphere. GREAT food..My mother would have been very fond of the reuben. I ate one in her memory tonight😁😁
MoreHadn't been here in years. Our server was fantastic. Food was delivered quickly, but it was just Ok. Decor-wise, ... the place needs an update. It is what it is ... An Irish Pub, but I don't think anything had changed interior-wise since I'd last been there in the 90's !! This place is in a Prime Location with everything going on at Union Station and a pending new soccer stadium coming into the area. Is have thought they'd jumped on a re-do by now !!
Morestopped in the bar to place a to-go order. I ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage meal. The bartenders hooked me up with a great meal. thank you.
MoreWe ordered the corned beef with cabbage and potatoes and the O'Brien's big green salad for take-out. Both were tasty, but the corned beef was more memorable- it had a good balance of herbs, butter, and saltiness. Service was good and they offered a drink while we waited. The food was low-priced for its quality. They also have Harps. Although it's not quite as good as real Irish food made in Ireland, it's close.
MoreGreat little Pub next to the Hilton. The Pizza was delicious as were the wings.Had a nice hoppy IPA on tap. Very good selection of beers.Service was friendly.
MoreGreat burgers and social distances very reasonable prices
Out of towner stopping in for a bite for lunch and was not disappointed. Alison (I think) was friendly, attentive, and very hard working! She made sure my food came out in a timely manner. The beef dip was great, but I'd have liked the sweet potato fries not to have cinnamon, but it is what it is. Thanks for the great service!
MoreBar was fine and they'd just closed the kitchen, so I can't say anything about the food. I hear their BBQs are great.
MoreThis place has a great Irish pub feel; and the food was really good. Our waitress was amazing considering we had such a big party. We called early in the morn for a mid day lunch and they accommodated us by seating us by ourselves in the back dining room-very nice!
MoreAmazing staff and food was tasty. Everything from ribs to toasted ravioli. Close to Union station and other hotels. Chose this location because it was the closest place, but would definitely go back.
MoreWe stopped by for a quick dinner. The toasted ravioli with meat sauce looked good so we tried them as our appetizer and were not disappointed. I had their corned beef sandwich on marbled rye served with sweet potato fries. I ate my sandwich with both the horseradish it came with and lots of mustard. It was delicious and their side portions are generous. My husband enjoyed his sandwich with regular fries. There were other options for the sides including Cole slaw and cottage cheese. We were not having beer, but I have never seen a more comprehensive list of choices with a number of them on tap. Service was very friendly and efficient.
MoreVery happy with my visit here. I've driven by several times as it's in a prominent location, but never actually tried it. After spending time at the aquarium my family and I decided to give it a go. Food was really good. They have the staples you'd expect at an Irish pub but you can definitely tell they spend time on the dishes and try to make them unique. Good prices as well for the quality and portions. Will definitely go back
MoreWow! So happy we tried it. Wish we could have tried everything. Had the Cuban, Notre Dame and Beef Tenderloin sandwich. All were excellent. Good portion and reasonable price. Service was very good as well.
